1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to make a purchase, and at least 13 years old (16 in the EEA/UK) to use the Service at all. By using the Service you represent that you meet these requirements, that you are not on any government sanctions list, and that you are not located in a jurisdiction subject to a U.S. embargo. There is no account to register; each project stands on its own.
2. Description of Service
SimpleTextToSpeech.io converts text you provide into a downloadable MP3 audio file using synthetic voices. For each project you paste text, optionally generate a free preview, pay a one-time fee through Stripe, and we email you a private link to download the resulting MP3. There is no subscription, no account, and no history view; every visit is a fresh session.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to create, distribute, or facilitate:
- Content that is illegal, infringes intellectual-property rights, or violates the rights of others
- Sexual content involving minors, or any other content that exploits or endangers minors
- Non-consensual intimate content or audio depicting real, identifiable individuals in sexual situations
- Audio designed to impersonate a real person, including public figures, without their explicit consent (no fraud, deceptive marketing, political manipulation, or "deepfake" uses)
- Content intended to harass, threaten, defame, or incite violence against a specific person or group
- Misinformation designed to deceive in ways that cause material harm (medical, financial, electoral, or otherwise)
- Spam, robocall scripts, phishing, or any content used to facilitate fraud
- Content that violates export controls, sanctions, or other applicable laws
- Activity intended to disrupt the Service: probing, scanning, automated scraping, attempting to bypass rate limits or pricing, or interfering with other users
You also agree not to attempt to reverse engineer the Service, resell access, or use the Service to build a competing text-to-speech product.
We may suspend access, refuse to deliver an order, refund a payment, or delete content we reasonably believe violates these Terms or applicable law. We may also report unlawful conduct to the appropriate authorities.
4. Your Content
You retain ownership of any text you submit to SimpleTextToSpeech.io ("Customer Text") and of the audio file we deliver to you ("Output"). By submitting Customer Text, you represent and warrant that:
- You own the Customer Text or have all the rights, licenses, consents, and permissions necessary to convert it into audio and to use the Output for your intended purpose.
- The Customer Text and your use of the Output do not and will not violate any law, contract, intellectual-property right, privacy right, or right of publicity of any third party.
- You will not use the Service to generate audio that impersonates a real person without their explicit consent.
You grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, process, and transmit the Customer Text and the Output solely as necessary to provide the Service to you, to support you, to prevent abuse, and to keep records as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not claim ownership of your content and we do not use it to train any first- or third-party generative models.
5. Pricing & Payments
SimpleTextToSpeech.io is sold per project at $0.0002 per word with a $2.00 minimum per project. The price shown in the workspace before checkout is the price you will be charged. All prices are in U.S. dollars (USD).
Payments are processed by Stripe. By submitting payment, you authorize Stripe to charge the payment method you provide. Word count is computed from the text you submit and is shown in the workspace before you pay; that count is binding for the order.
Prices do not include sales, VAT, GST, or similar taxes unless explicitly stated. Where we are required to collect tax, it will be added at checkout. Otherwise you are responsible for any taxes due in your jurisdiction.
6. Refunds
Because each MP3 is generated specifically for you and delivered immediately, all purchases are final and non-refundable once the audio has been generated and delivered, except as described below or where required by applicable law.
We will refund you when:
- We fail to deliver the audio because of a problem on our end and cannot fix it within a reasonable time
- The delivered audio is materially defective due to a fault on our end (this does not include dissatisfaction with the synthetic voice itself, which you were able to preview before paying)
- You were charged in error
Refund requests should be sent to support@simpletexttospeech.io within 30 days of the charge, including the job token from your delivery email. Refunds are issued back to the original payment method.
If a job fails on our infrastructure, our system alerts us automatically and we will either re-deliver the file or refund you and email you about it without you needing to ask.
7. Delivery & Download Window
We email a download link to the address Stripe collected at checkout. The link is valid for 7 days. After that, it stops working and you would need to regenerate (and pay again) for a new copy. Save your file locally before the window closes.
Delivery emails are sent from support@simpletexttospeech.io on the simpletexttospeech.io domain, the same address you can reach us at for support. To make sure delivery emails reach your inbox, please add that address (or, if your mail provider only supports domain-level rules, the entire simpletexttospeech.io domain) to your safe-senders / allow list before checking out. We are not responsible for emails that are blocked, sent to spam, or filtered before reaching you.
If you don’t see the email within an hour, check your spam folder, then contact us with your Stripe receipt and we’ll re-send it.
8. Synthetic Voices
The voices offered in the catalog are synthetic and identified by branded names (e.g. "Aria", "Marcus"). They are not the voices of any specific real person, and the branded names and the voice characters themselves are trademarks and brand assets of Sezi LLC. The license you receive in Section 9 covers the audio file we deliver to you; it does not transfer ownership of the underlying voice character, the catalog name, or the synthesis model that produced the audio.
You agree not to use the Service to extract, reproduce, or attempt to clone the synthetic voice itself, whether by training a model on the Output, by stitching multiple Outputs together to produce a voice dataset, or otherwise.
9. License to Use the Output
As stated in Section 4, you own the audio file we deliver to you ("Output"). For clarity, once you’ve paid for a project and we’ve delivered the Output, you have a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable license to use that Output for any lawful purpose, personal or commercial, including:
- Distribution and publication: uploading the Output to YouTube, podcast platforms, social media, your own website, or any other channel
- Monetization: running ads against it, selling it as part of an audiobook, course, or other product, or otherwise earning revenue from it
- Derivative works: editing, remixing, layering with music or other audio, embedding in video, or incorporating it into a larger work
- Redistribution: transferring the Output (or works incorporating it) to clients, employers, listeners, or buyers
No attribution to SimpleTextToSpeech.io or Sezi LLC is required, although it’s appreciated.
The license is subject to a few common-sense limits:
- The Acceptable Use rules in Section 3 still apply: e.g. you can’t use Output to impersonate a real person, defame someone, generate harassment, etc., even though we already delivered the file
- Your representations about the Customer Text in Section 4 still apply. If it turns out you didn’t have the rights to the text you submitted, the license to the Output doesn’t cure that
- The voice character and brand limits in Section 8 still apply: you have the audio, not the voice itself
We do not retain any rights in the Output beyond the limited operational license you grant us in Section 4 to host, deliver, and support it.
10. Service Availability
We strive to keep SimpleTextToSpeech.io available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We may also change pricing or these Terms; for orders already paid, the price and Terms in effect when you paid apply.
11. Termination
You can stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, refuse to deliver an order, or delete content if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law) will survive.
12. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, secure, or uninterrupted. Synthetic speech may mispronounce words, misread punctuation, or otherwise imperfectly render your text; previews are provided so you can evaluate a voice before paying.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sezi LLC and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the project that gave rise to the claim in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) USD $100.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sezi LLC and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from (a) your Customer Text, (b) your use of the Output, (c) your violation of these Terms or applicable law, or (d) your violation of any third-party right, including any intellectual-property, publicity, or privacy right.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version always lives at simpletexttospeech.io/terms. If we make material changes, we will reflect them in a new "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms; for any order already paid, the Terms in effect at the time of payment govern that order.
Past versions of these Terms remain accessible from the "Past versions" block at the bottom of this page so you can see what was in effect on a given date. The same archive treatment is applied to our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. The U.N. Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the state or federal courts of competent jurisdiction in the United States, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there. To the extent permitted by law, you and we each waive any right to a jury trial and to participate in a class action.
